We utilise a PDF workflow based around the Agfa
Apogee System. The Apogee System is a 'RIP once, Output many' workflow,
where a PDF file is ripped for proofing, held on the server, and then
output to plate from the same ripped information.
High resolution proofing is available via an Agfa
Sherpa 43, with backed-up low resolution proofing via an Agfa Sherpa 2.
The whole workflow is colour managed through the
Agfa Apogee system, with ink data being made available to the press via
a CIP3 interface, and automatic job ticketing to coordinate plate
making, printing and finishing.
An Agfascan T5000 flat bed scanner provides high
resolution scanning from up to A3 flat art, or up to A4 transparencies.
